About · Mitchell Corbet, MSN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC
A botanist’s eye for resilience.
Nearly two decades of therapeutic work, grounded in a psychodynamic understanding of development, trauma, defenses and relationships.
Under the harshest conditions grow the Earth’s most beautiful plants.
Mitchell is the eldest of four children. His family was separated by addiction and generational trauma, and he and his siblings grew up in different foster homes before being reunited as teenagers and adopted by a loving family. He knows from the inside what it takes to grow in hard ground.
At Oregon State he studied botany and plant genetics, then worked internationally on the genetics of resilience: drought tolerance in crops that feed nations facing famine. He came home to learn functional medicine in Portland, trained as a nurse at the University of Miami, trained in critical care at the University of Kentucky, and completed his master’s in psychiatric nursing at Gonzaga.
Trauma, anxiety and severe depression act on the nervous system the way drought acts on a plant. By combining psychiatric care, pharmacogenomics and tailored supplements, Northform helps rebuild the chemistry of calm. When the nervous system is steady, what follows is energy, clarity and the kind of radiance that isn’t skin deep.
